Simple Renewal of Passports / No Change in Name
- Personal Appearance
- Duly accomplished passport application form
- Current e-Passport and one (1) photocopy of passport data page
- Present original German residency permit (Aufenhaltstitel) or Schengen visa and one (1) photocopy
- Passport fee €66,00 payable only in cash
- Passport release can either be in person or by mail / courier. For those who wish to receive their new passport by mail, you may choose to submit either of the following: (a) self-addressed return envelope with €4.25 stamps for registered mail within Germany or € 6.20 within the EU, or, b) a prepaid DHL packet (DHL Express Delivery Prepaid Domestic – within Germany, for outside Germany, please consult with the courier of your choice on how to arrange for package pick-up). Please note that once your passport has been dispatched, the Consulate has no control over postal operations and delivery services. Minimize instances of lost package. You are encouraged to use the courier service companies in a secure way.
Renewal with Change of Surname (Due to Marriage)
- Follow requirements for simple renewal of passports
- Present the following additional requirements:
- If married in the Philippines, the original PSA (Philippine Statistics Authority) Marriage Contract must be presented and one (1) photocopy;
- If married in Germany or elsewhere, PSA-issued Report of Marriage or for marriages reported within one year of filing of the Report of Marriage (ROM), the original Report of Marriage issued by the concerned Philippine Embassy or Consulate must be presented and one (1) photocopy.

Additional Requirements for Passport Renewal with Change of Surname due to Divorce, Widowhood, or Adoption:
For Women Who Were Divorced from Their Foreign Husbands
- Please see requirements at the Special Cases section of the DFA’s website.
For Women Whose Marriage Was Annulled by Court
- Original annotated Marriage certificate issued by the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) must be presented and one (1)
photocopy. - Original PSA-issued Birth Certificate must be presented and one (1) photocopy.
For Widows
- Death certificate of deceased spouse.
- If the Filipino husband died in Germany, an original Report of Death (ROD) or if the Filipino husband died in a country other than Germany, a PSA issued ROD must be presented one (1) photocopy.
- If the husband died in the Philippines, the death certificate must be issued by the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) must be presented and one (1) photocopy.
- If the husband is not a Filipino, a Death Certificate in English (Formula C) must be presented and one (1) photocopy.
- Original PSA-issued Birth Certificate of the applicant must be presented and one (1) photocopy.
For Dual Citizens by Birth
- Follow requirements for simple renewal of passports
- Original PSA Authenticated Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Foreign Service Post (FSP) or the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and a photocopy
- Government issued IDs (Philippine or from country of second citizenship) must be presented and one (1) photocopy
- Foreign passport or other Government issued IDs and one (1) photocopy
For Dual Citizens by Reacquisition
- Follow requirements for simple renewal of passports
- Original Identification Certificate/Order of Approval issued by the Philippine Foreign Service Post (FSP) or the Bureau of Immigration (BI), must be presented and photocopies
- Foreign Passport or other Foreign Government-issued ID and one (1) photocopy
REQUIREMENTS FOR RENEWAL OF EXPIRED PASSPORTS
If your expired passport is an ePassport, then you may follow the procedure for Simple Renewal of Passports.
If your passport is either Brown/Green (Non-Machine Readable Ready) then you have to follow the procedures for Applying for a Passport for the First Time/New Application.
REQUIREMENTS FOR RENEWAL OF LOST PASSPORTS OR DAMAGED/MUTILATED PASSPORTS
All lost and/or damaged/mutilated passports (regardless whether an ePassport, green, brown or machine-readable passport) are treated as new applications in terms of documentary requirements. As such, applicants must comply with all the documents required for a new passport application. In addition, the following documents must also be included:
In case of a Lost and still VALID Passport:
- Police report with English translation done by a certified licensed translation office. Please note the Consulate cannot translate the police report for you.
- Affidavit of Loss in English
- If possible, please provide the Passport Number / Date and Place of Issue of the lost passport and/or a photocopy of the bio-page of the lost passport.
Fee for Lost passport €203.50 payable in cash (€165.00 for the lost/valid passport + €38.50 for the Affidavit of Loss)
In case of a Lost but EXPIRED Passport:
- Affidavit of Loss in English

In case a passport has been mutilated and/or damaged:
- Affidavit of Explanation
- Applicant must surrender mutilated/damaged passport.
Fee for renewal of a mutilated/damaged passport is €104.50 payable in cash
