30 September 2026 22:00 — The Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt (PCG Frankfurt) confirms that 29 Filipino nationals affected by the bus accident near Buchloe, Bavaria, have now returned to Milan, with two (2) Filipinos remaining in hospitals in Bavaria.
The latest patient to be discharged today was cleared for travel and has returned to Milan. The Philippine Government continues to assist those who remain hospitalized, with MWO/OWWA personnel on the ground to directly attend to their needs.
Efforts are underway to secure appropriate legal assistance and representation in Germany for the affected Filipino nationals, while PCG Frankfurt continues to liaise with German authorities and monitor developments in the ongoing investigation.
Consul General Marie Yvette Banzon Abalos, accompanied by Philippine Honorary Consul Dr. Stefan Detig, conveyed the Philippine Government’s gratitude to District Administrator Daniela Groß, the Police Chief of the Traffic and Highway Patrol Group in Fürstenfeldbruck, the Landsberg and Buchloe police and fire departments, the Red Cross and Malteser, all of whom were among the first responders at the scene of the accident. The Consul General also expressed gratitude to the University of Regensburg Hospital and the Medevac team, as well as other care workers who cared and continue to care for the affected.
