21 June 2025 – Consul General Ivy Banzon Abalos graced the 127th Philippine Independence Day celebration in Munich, hosted by Honorary Consul Stefan Detig, with the strong presence of the Filipino-German community. The Consul General lauded their meaningful contributions to German society and their role in promoting a positive image of the Philippines in Bavaria. She also enjoined the community to actively support the country’s role as Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025 — a milestone platform to showcase Filipino culture, literature, and identity to the world.
