27 September 2026, 19:05 — The Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt (PCG Frankfurt) confirms that it is in close contact with some of the Filipino nationals and their relatives affected by the bus accident on the A96 near Buchloe, west of Munich in Bavaria, while working to ascertain the whereabouts and condition of all Filipino nationals involved.
The group, comprising of a reported 33 Filipinos, was travelling from Milan to Munich when the accident occurred. PCG Frankfurt confirms that two individuals have died in the accident. A number have been brought to various hospitals in Bavaria for treatment of their injuries while the rest are safe in the care of the Red Cross.
PCG Frankfurt and the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Munich are coordinating closely with the German authorities and the Philippine Migrant Workers Office to provide necessary assistance and support to the affected individuals and their families. The Philippine Honorary Consulate in Munich has also visited some of the affected individuals.
PCG Frankfurt extends its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and continues to monitor the condition of those injured.
