Philippine Consulate General brings services to Filipinos in North Rhine-Westphalia

Bonn – The Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt held its second consular outreach mission for 2026 at the St. Winfried church in Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia on 9 May 2026.

The Consulate brought civil registry, legalization, passporting and dual citizenship services, as well as overseas voters’ registration to a total of 204 Filipinos.

As in previous years, the Filipino Catholic community in Bonn, led by Fr. Rodel Liguid, SVD was crucial in supporting the efficient delivery of services.

The Consulate and DOT – Frankfurt also intensified promotion of the Ube Lovers’ Tour 2026, a sustainable tour package designed by the DOT around the popular Philippine destinations of Cebu and Bohol, with ube, the purple root crop rapidly gaining popularity in Germany and the rest of Europe, as the main focus.

The federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia is home to an estimated 10,000 Filipinos, one of the highest concentrations of Filipinos in Germany. END
