Before assuming the position in Frankfurt in November 2021, Ms. Banzon Abalos had been Executive Director and then Head of the Public and Cultural Diplomacy Office in the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Manila.
Her previous home assignments include working as Director for African Affairs, as Special Assistant of the Undersecretary for International Economic Relations, as Director for the Environment and Sustainable Development Division and as Principal Assistant for the Humanitarian and Social Development Division of the DFA’s Office for the United Nations and Other International Organizations.
She had also been previously assigned to the Philippine embassies in Norway, Belgium and to the Philippine Mission to the United Nations in New York.
Ms. Banzon Abalos is married, with one child.
