All births of Filipino children abroad must be reported to the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate for onward registration with the Philippine Statistics Authority.
ONLY births that happened in the following places can be registered by the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt: Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia, Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Bavaria.
A birth should be reported to the Consulate General within twelve (12) months of its occurrence.
A birth that is reported to the Philippine Embassy or Consulate beyond the twelve (12) month grace period is considered a Delayed Registration of Birth. In this case, the report must be accompanied by an explanation surrounding the delay in the reporting of the birth through an Affidavit of Delayed Registration of Birth.
