General Info

Planning to Use Your Current Passport?

Airlines and immigration authorities require at least 6 months’ validity.

The Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt recommends that:

  1. You apply for a new passport about 9 months before your passport’s expiration date; and
  2. You do not purchase outbound travel tickets until your new passport is already in your possession.

Passport Application

Personal appearance is required for ALL and all types of passport applications (new or renewal).

Please bring all the requirements for passport application. Applications with incomplete documents will not be accepted.

It is required that applicants make an appointment at the Consulate. Appointment is per person.

Passport applications are entertained at the Philippine Consulate during its business hours on its day of operation.  Please be sure to check Philippine or German holidays in our webpage or Facebook page weeks before when scheduling your visit to the Consulate.

Filipinos residing in Germany can apply to the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt, or during our consular mobile outreach missions.

In case of lost passport, please report the loss immediately to the Philippine Consulate General in Frankfurt. Please send us an email to frankfurtpcg.consular@dfa.gov.ph.

Your new passport may be available in four (4) to six (6) weeks from the date the passport fee has been paid. The Consulate is not liable if a new passport’s availability is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Applicants are required to provide a pre-paid envelope with Euro 4.25 stamps from Deutsche Post (Einschreiben) or from a private courier service (e.g. DHL). Passports left unclaimed after one (1) year will be cancelled per DFA Department Order No. 2021-012.

NOTE: There have been cases of passports getting lost in the regular postal system. The Consulate assumes no liability for any loss of documents once they have been handed over to the German Post Office/courier service.
