GERMAN AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS GET A GLIMPSE OF FILIPINO CULTURE AT PASSAU UNIVERSITY’s SUMMER FESTIVAL

Passau University students danced the Singkil, a traditional dance from the Southern islands of the Philippines. The school’s summer festival were also treated to traditional Filipino sweets such as ube biko, kutchinta, maja blance and tupig. Addressing the students, Vice Consul Fatima Mueller highlighted intercultural understanding as a way to build respect and appreciation of different cultures, such as the Filipino culture.
